The weekends should be filled with laughs and great memories but the glitz of a weekend can oftentimes end up breaking the bank. This weekend, get out and have some fun on the cheap!
Take a walk around the neighborhood.
You never know what is happening unless you get out there and take a look! Walking doesn’t require money, yet walking has countless physical and mental benefits. And while you are out stretching your legs around your community, you may stumble upon a great yard sale or a fun block party!
Rain Rain Go Away!
When the sun isn’t shining it’s hard to be motivated to get out of bed, but there are fun things to do in the house for free! Take a relaxing bubble bath and listen to the rain, dust off an old book or watch one of your favorite movies. If you get hungry, don’t fret. Evaluate your pantry and fridge. With a little creativity, you can make an amazing dish! Bon Appetit.
Make a Time Capsule.
Grab an empty shoe box and gather a few things that are laying around your house like pictures, letters, meaningful trinkets, and past holiday cards. If you are techy, you could even include a video of you with your family and friends for your “future self” to watch. After you have completed your time capsule, put all of your items in and tape it up nice and tight! Now all you have to do is decide on the date that you will open it. Once your open date arrives you will revel in the old treasures that you buried.
Go Yard Sailing.
You never know what priceless treasures your neighbors have hidden until you go yard sailing. They say, “Someone’s trash is another one’s treasure” and at a yard sale, the treasures you find are at a discounted price.
Try a New Recipe.
Open your pantry! You would be surprised at the recipes you can come up with by using ingredients that you already have. Add in some creativity and you’ll have a great new recipe!
Make an Internet-Inspired Craft.
There are thousands of crafty, how-to projects on the web. Who knows! You might be able to make a little extra money selling your unique creations.
Visit your Local Farmer’s Market.
Farmer’s markets have some of the freshest produce around at a cheap price! Bring $20 and you could get 10x of the produce you could get from a grocery store.
Take advantage of the weekends and save money with Decade Cigarettes! Find your favorite style at a store near you.
