Charades have been a pastime for, well, forever. Charades have also been a way to communicate when you can’t find the words or you just took a big bite of your favorite food and words would ruin the taste. This game has taught us that sometimes words just aren’t enough. So, let’s step up charades with some scenarios that have happened to all of us we just don’t talk about it.

I think I left the oven on:

Now this one may come in handy. Even the right wide-eyed gaze could tell others this scary scenario.

Opening birthday card, but try not to notice the money inside:

Peeling that envelope open and skimming the nice note written while all your brain can think about is the check with your name on it.

Waking up a couple of minutes before your alarm goes off:

There aren’t many things that are worse than this feeling. Pure disappointment for the 4 minutes of sleep lost. Put your head back on the pillow and soak in those last couple of minutes.

Sending a text to the wrong person:

There aren’t many worse feelings than this, but you better believe that everyone you’re playing with knows the feeling too.

Looking for your phone when it’s in your hand:

Silly, silly, silly. Confused hand waving and scratching of your head when the resolution is right in front of you… literally.

Carrying too many items from your cars so it will only be one trip:

No better arm day than a grocery shopping day. Piling dozens of bags on each arm and waddling to the front door to save yourself another trip.

When you want to take a snack break, here’s a tasty salsa recipe!
