Check out our list of Missouri fall activities you don’t want to miss out on for the perfect autumn afternoon!

Scarecrow Festival

Nobody knows how to ring in fall better than the people of Eureka, MO. Each year throughout the month of October, you’ll find hand-made scarecrows scattered across the town as residents and local businesses decorate their homes and storefronts in honor of this seasonal tradition, also known as the scarecrow invasion. The competition is hot as the best scarecrow takes home a cash prize after voting is concluded at the end of the month.

Pumpkin Palooza

Local pumpkin patches have nothing on Washington, Missouri’s Pumpkin Palooza! There’s enough fun for everyone at this yearly event with activities such as costume contests, storytime, live music, seed spittin’, and the famous giant pumpkin contest.  Make sure you grab a pumpkin for your doorstep!

Dunn’s Cider Mill

A Missouri fall favorite! The local gem, Dunn’s Cider Mill located in Belton, Missouri, has been winning the award for best freshly pressed cider for the past forty years now. Residents from across the state travel here to enjoy cider donuts and cider slushies that are out-of-this-world good. Park yourself at one of the picnic tables outside for the perfect fall afternoon.

Shryock’s Corn Maze

The Shryock family has been farming in Northern Callaway Country since 1889 and has since opened their home to the general public so others can too enjoy the beauty and serenity of what it means to be out in the country. Offering hayrides, pumpkin picking, a three-story gumball coaster, and a sixteen-acre life-sized corn maze (yeah, we said sixteen acres) families from all over come to experience a fall day at the farm!
