Ahhh, what do we do to escape to the Tropics right now?
Summer is almost here and this tease of warm weather has already got our minds on island time. Maybe it’s the sound of waves crashing, or the feeling of the warm sun on our skin, that has us dreaming about paradise. Maybe it’s the thought of sand in-between our toes and a cold drink in our hands that has us itching for an escape from reality. Whatever it is, we just know sunshine and crystal-clear water are where we want to be! Snorkeling
The waters of the Tropics are home to many diverse and unique wildlife species, making it the perfect spot to go snorkeling. You’ll discover many vibrantly colorful and sought-after fish species that you won’t find anywhere else in the world thanks to the area’s warm water temperatures. Go independently or take an organized boat trip, but whatever you do make sure you grab a mask and some fins to explore how underwater life lives in paradise.
Parasailing
If you crave adventure in your life, parasailing is a great way to see the island while also getting your adrenaline fix. Though offered at most local beaches, we love parasailing in the Tropics because you get great views of the entire tropical landscape one can only see while hundreds of feet up.
Hike Through Tropical Forest Wilderness
You can’t spend your entire time on the beach! If you want to change up the scenery, try taking a trek through the island’s forest area. Check with locals, other travelers or guidebooks for hikes in your area so you can fully enjoy the bounty of nature on the island.
Camp on the Beach
Make sure you check with authorities first before doing this one, but setting up camp on the beach is an experience one will not forget. Just imagine, not only falling asleep but waking up to the sounds of the crispy ocean breeze, waves rolling on the sand, and chirping morning birds.
Watch the Tropical Sunset
Being in paradise, you know that there are limitless adventures to fill your days with. However, it’s important to take time to slow down, relax and enjoy the island’s amazing free shows.
