When life gets hectic, the last thing anyone wants to do is spend hours in the kitchen. Between work, running errands, and everything else you have to check off the to-do list, finding the strength and energy to whip it up in the kitchen can feel like a luxury. Here are some quick meal ideas for busy nights when you don’t feel like cooking up a storm.

Spicy Shrimp Pasta

What you’ll need:

  • Shrimp
  • Angel hair noodles
  • Pesto
  • Marinara Sauce
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Italian-style cheese
  • 1 Green bell pepper cut up into cubes
  • 1 onion cut up into cubes

How to make it: Boil your noodles until al dente. Season your shrimp to your liking, cook until finished, and then set aside. Sauté your onion and green bell pepper. Once translucent, add your marinara sauce, a spoonful of pesto, a cup of heavy whipping cream, and your cooked shrimp, then mix all together. Let simmer for 5 minutes and add in some Italian-style cheese.

Burrito Bowls

What you’ll need:

  • Meat of choice: Shrimp, ground beef, ground turkey, chicken, etc.
  • Taco seasoning
  • Sour cream
  • White rice
  • Salsa
  • Lettuce
  • Mexican-style cheese
  • Pre-made guacamole

How to make it: Boil rice until finished. Cook your choice of meat according to your preference and add in taco seasoning. Once both items are finished, add meat and rice to a bowl. Then add in all your toppings: Salsa, lettuce, sour cream, Mexican-style cheese, guacamole, and whatever else you prefer!

Homemade Pizza

What you’ll need:

  • Flatbread
  • Marinara sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni

How to make it: Take your flatbread and add a heaping amount of marinara sauce to your liking. Add pepperoni and mozzarella cheese on top. Place it in the oven and bake it at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. If you would like to jazz up your pizza, add extra toppings like spinach, tomatoes, onions, etc.
